Spiral's blog :: Miserable day


Miserable day Thu Feb 22, 2007 12:56 pm [ Mood: Disappointed ] [ Currently: Drinking Tea ] Ok so today started off badly. Was up at 7 for work, with a cracking headache. Then about 7:30 got a text off my boss saying work today was cancelled (I would have preffered to work). Ate far too much for breakfast, then retired to bed to sleep off my headache. Woke up again a few hours later feeling a little better... got online, did a banner and avatar set for Freedomspirit, Spoke to Ejoty, Freedom, Willow, Kel, and Kady in the chat room.... Very exciting! Then got a phonecall from my boss saying he couldn't swap the days about. Was very upset. You see, My better half Jo (Foxchild here) lives about 150 miles away and we can only really spend time together on her days off (monday and tuesday). Would have been so much nicer to have had the full day together but I'll have to settle for what we can get. Any time together is certainly a blessing, and I'm certainly very lucky she's happy to drive up to see me every week (I can't drive yet). Other than that I finaly got round to setting up an MPS group. The main slant of it is towards the fringes of Neo-Paganism. Mainly concerning Techno-Paganism and Shamanism, Urban-Paganism and Shamanism, and Eco-Paganism. Then spent the next 2 hours looking for car insurance for my older sister..... managed to get the cost down by over £200 so I'm pretty chuffed with that. Other than that been texting Foxchild on and off all day and feeling like a demented teenager again!

I bet Foxchild will still care for you...you two sound so happy, I am jealous...I miss my hubby...Oh well, 3 more months, I hope....

Last year one of my friends in the States did a tour, and I was worried for him then, so I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through. I'd be a bundle of nerves for sure. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers

You are just as important with your concerns and issues, if not more so than myself. I am surviving my 7th deployment, granted this is the first one he has had to go into Iraq...but I only have 3 more months to go!!! Whoo Hoo!!! I also wish to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated. You are a good friend.
