I got a great big surge of inspiration and have been working on my blinkies. I finished SIX. In one sitting. I paused mid-spree to post about it earlier, and I may work on some of my own ideas in a bit. But SIX. I'm proud, but the little pencil from MS Paint may haunt my dreams now. I don't care. Man, I feel good. I'm not entirely happy with the four element bead ones for Molli, but I'm also nitpicky. I mean, they look good, but the letters I had to modify from Times New Roman so they were in there, and then I tried shading in 3D and you could barely tell, so I just went with one color for the letters. The letters are big too, but if I went with 8 point they were too cramped to read easily, and at 9 point they were actually 10 pixels high. And I needed to regulate the sizing and height. Don't get me wrong, I love doing it, and I'm more than happy to. But as with all things art, sometimes I breeze through, and sometimes I sit there going "AAAAGH". I also had to find a camoflage image and recreate it, which took forever. BUT I DON'T CARE. And now looking at those beads, they're not as bad as before. I really am proud of my work. I'm just so glad people have taken the chance on me doing these, and are so patient. I need to find my GIF program at some point soon and convert them. It's freeware, but it works, you know?

In other news, things are decent. Some bad stuff has happened and some good stuff has happened. I'm going to go to two Japanese Fall Festivals. One is in St. Louis at the Botanical gardens, which I LOVE SO MUCH. Ohmigawd. It's beautiful, in every possible way. The last time I was there there was a wedding and I was like "you two had the right idea". And I played in the fountains there till I got kicked out. I'm doing that again. (Hey, at least I'm not dumping detergent in there like I did with the fountains on a local college campus.) (I never hear the end of that from my family. I shoulda stayed quiet.) And then there's another one here at home the weekend after that, and there are always performers from our Sister City, Isesake Japan. Taiko drummers were there and listening to that was AMAZING. I'm looking forward to that again this year. I'm wearing my new dress to one or both. I've developed a tradition to dress as a Lolita at the festivals here in town. And Lolita is a very frilly style based loosely on Victorian and Rococo fashion for girls. It's pretty, but a lil expensive, but it's gorgeous and I love it and that's all that matters, right? Do what you love and you'll love what you do. That's why my page is like this, I love pink and purple. Plain, no background images, but you know, I like it. It's me.

Well, I better go. I need to do a few different things. Bye bye!
