Introducing The New Phoogle Map! (a Google Map)!

Just an announcement to let you all know of a new community feature here in The Forest. I jjust finished installing a Google Map to the site

. It is called a Phoogle Map by the developers ( because it uses phpbb hence Phoogle lol.. anyhoo ) . It is very simple to add yourself to the map and show us where in the world you are.

From the main menu mouse over My PaganSpace then go to MPS Home

From there click on the Edit Account Details link and scroll down till you see a map. To locate yourself simply navigate around the globe by dragging and clicking on the map, zooming in for a closer look ( I was able to zoom right in onto my roof and get an exact placement

). Once the flashing crosshairs ( the circle with 2 crossed lines ) is where you want it to be, select an icon to represent you from the list belw the map and then leave a comment for the speach bubble that will appear when your icon is clicked in the map ( optional).

After that is all done simply click submit on the bottom of the page to save it. After that you can see yourself and all the others who have placed themselves on the map from the Phoogle Map link in the menu see screenshot below

Let me know if you have any troubles with it, or would just like to comment on it.

There are more goodies on their way ( including the ability to add a webcam message/reply to the forums ) so keep your eyes peeled for new toys coming soon.
